ETukis Event Planning

ETukis Event Consultancy is an event planning and consulting firm specialized in creating unique, successful and memorable business and social events. Mufalo Chitam, a Zambian American immigrant, has worked for Saro Agric Zambia, Child Fund Zambia, the University of Southern Maine, United Way of Greater Portland, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, National Kidney Foundatio, Easter Seals Maine, and currently for the National Red Cross.




Intercultural Community Center

Dedicated to empowering immigrants and their families to succeed. The ICC's educational programs include the Women's Health and Wellness Program, which combines health and nutrition education, while it builds cooking and shopping skills for health family meals. In Fall of 2015, the ICC will launch a Women's English Language and Career Readiness Program to help women get ready for the job market.


Muskie School of Public Policy

The Cutler Institute for Health and Social Policy at the Muskie School of Public Service is dedicated to developing innovative, evidence-informed, and practical approaches to pressing health and social challenges faced by individuals, families, and communities.


Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project

The Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project (ILAP) provides free and low-cost immigration information and legal assistance to low-income Maine residents. ILAP helps Maine's immigrants keep their families together, gain protection from persecution and domestic violence, attain residency and work authorization, and become proud U.S. citizens. ILAP builds stable families and improved opportunities, allowing Maine's immigrants to contribute to their communities for generations to come. ILAP is proud to uphold our nation's immigrant tradition.


New Mainers Resource Center (NMRC)

The New Mainers Resource Center (NMRC) is a program within Portland Adult Education established by legislation in 2013 to help new Mainers enter the US workforce. The goal of the program is to bridge the need for a more culturally and linguistically diverse workforce and the untapped resources of Maine's immigrant and refugee communities. A range of services are offered.

Maine Women's Lobby

The Maine Women's Lobby, a membership organization, was formed in 1978 when a group of Maine delegates to the National Women's Conference met to discuss activities the delegation might undertake to promote the well-being of Maine women.
